Marjean Mccollin

May 16, 1934 — November 28, 2016

MarJean passed away on November 28, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 16, 1934 in Delta, Utah to Earl and Unity Willden. She married Ray Dutson and later divorced, and married Max D. McCollin on May 16, 1958. MarJean had a passion for gardening and floral arrangements. She could always make something out of nothing! She was an amazing and loving grandmother, mom, wife, and sister. She loved taking the grandchildren out to the movies and for her favorite meal, ice cream and fries. She would always see the good in everyone and find the positive in every situation. The underdogs were always her friends. She would never go far without her Pekingese. She was a very strong woman and had overcome much adversity her whole life. Everyone who rode with her from Salt Lake to Delta will remember the “wee’s” around Utah Lake! No one could get there faster. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
MarJean is survived by her son, Dennis (Teresa) Dutson, daugthers, Cris (Lyle) Kump, Susan (Ed) Edwards, sisters, Myrle and Yvonna, brother, Dean, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, her dog Kami, and her cat Tigger.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Max McCollin, and sons, Curtis and Bruce McCollin.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, with a viewing 2 hours prior.
A special thanks to granddaughter Bobbie for always keeping her beautiful.
The family would like to thank Inspiration Hospice for all their help and kindness.
