Marilynne Schenck

December 16, 1941 — June 22, 2021

Marilynne Schenck, 79, passed away peacefully the morning of June 22, 2021 in Mesa Arizona. Marilynne was born on December 16th 1941 to Darrell Stephen Adams and Beth Marie Austin in Lehi, Utah. They were later divorced.
Marilynne was raised by her loving grandparents, Herbert and Marie Austin, for the first 6 years of her life. She was a joy to her grandparents and had a happy childhood growing up in the quaint village of Bacchus, Utah. Early on, she was lovingly given the nickname of “Sammie” by her grandfather.
When she was 6 years old Marilynne’s Mother married Ray West and moved to Salt Lake City then later to Murray, Utah. She graduated from Murray High School with the class of 1960.
She married the love of her life, Christian Charles Schenck, while still in high school. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah Temple.
Marilynne loved nothing more than being with her family & camping, especially during her younger years. She had a unique bond with each of her children. Her life was focused on being a good mother and wife. Her greatest joy in her later life was her grandchildren.
She loved to cook and collect recipes, enjoyed doing handwork and playing pinochle. She willingly shared her talents with family and friends.
She always held true to her personal and religious convictions. She was proud to be a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And served in many callings.
Marilynne is survived by her husband, Chris, brothers (Wests’), Scott (Glenda) and Mike (Diana). Brothers (Adams’) Richard (Darlene), Doug (Patsy), Stephen, sisters (Adams’) Jane (Eric), Marian (Dennis).   Children Wendy (Andrew), Elizabeth (George), Emillee (David), Nancy (Lance), Jeffrey (Candyce), Jennifer (Timothy), 26 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Richard (Deborah) and Sister Dana.
