Marilyn Patterson Boston

Marilyn Patterson Boston, age 80, died on November 24, 2020, in Sandy, Utah. She was born on August 5, 1940, in Caliente, Nevada to Max and Margaret Patterson.
Marilyn grew up in Nevada, graduating from Ranch High School in 1958 and later attending the University of Utah. She was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marilyn and her family moved to Utah in 1976 and she was a long-time employee of Christensen and Jensen law firm. After she retired, she served an 18-month mission for Church Employment Services.
Marilyn loved music, particularly the Tabernacle Choir. She enjoyed beautiful mountains and sunsets, and time working around her home and in her yard. Most of all, Marilyn loved her family, and spending time with children and grandchildren. Her strong faith in her Heavenly Father and her love and sacrifice for her family are the things for which she will be most remembered.
Marilyn is survived by her brother, Mike Patterson (Gloria); her sister, Ellen Ayson (Derek); and her children: Michelle Glover (Randy), Roger Boston (Nesi), and Todd Boston (Jeni).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Max and Margaret Patterson; and her son, Michael Kent Boston.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. A viewing will be held 2 hours prior to the funeral service at the same location.
Following Salt Lake County’s mandate on facial coverings, face masks are required at all public gatherings. Social distancing will be enforced.
