Marilyn LaRue Beverley our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on August 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. At age 79, she lost her courageous battle with liver cancer.
She was born April 13, 1937 in Salt Lake City, UT to Hercle (Shorty) Lancaster and Lena S. Gertsch. She married her sweetheart of 60 years, George Richard (Dick) Beverley on March 17, 1956. They were later solemnized in the Salt Lake temple.
Early on she worked as a clerk in the social security office, and was an Avon representative for 31 years. She was active in the LDS church, has a great testimony of the gospel and served in many callings including Relief Society President. Her last calling, which was one of her favorites, gave her an opportunity to serve with her husband teaching the children in primary.
She was the heart of our family, and was an amazing mother, and grandmother to 7 children, 20 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She was very involved in their activities, and loved to play games with her grandchildren especially puzzles, pick-up-sticks and scrabble.
She had a great love for sewing, baking, scrapbooking, and family history in which she continued to work on until the end. She also loved creating memories while traveling the world with her husband.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, and an imprint that will forever be on our hearts!
Preceded in death by her parents, sister Doris, and brother in law Dan Wade. Survived by her husband Dick, children Cindy Beverley, Mark (Traci) Beverley, Cathy (Mark) Schoenrock, Scott (Wendy) Beverley, John (Michele) Beverley, Amy (Warren) Page, Chris (Shaulynda) Beverley, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
