Maricela Garcia Granados

Maricela Garcia Granados passed away at her home surrounded by her family on August 23, 2021 at Taylorsville, Utah. She was born on February 24, 1955 to Juan Garcia and Margarita Lara in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. She married Alvaro C. Granados on October 13, 1981 in Tijuana BC, Mexico. They raised their four children Riverside, California.
She loved to do arts and crafts, cooking, baking, blanket-making, and most important spending time with her friends and family. She was a very strong woman. Maricela had a heart of gold and loved to serve and help others. She worked as a hospice nurse’s aide. She was an honorable and compassionate woman.
She is survived by her sweetheart Alvaro C. Granados, and her three children Javier (Dora) Alcantar, Albert (Carla) Garcia and Veronica (Eddie Bracken) Torres, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Fernando Garcia, Juan Garcia, Luis Garcia, Margarita Rocio, Ricardo Garcia, and Guillermo Garcia.
She is preceded in death by her parents Juan Garcia and Margarita Lara, her daughter Olga Garcia, her siblings Juan Garcia, Pedro Garcia, Ramiro Garcia, Ignacio Garcia, and Enrique Garcia.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 6:00 PM with a viewing held two hours prior beginning at 4:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Cremation will follow the services, and at a later date, Maricela will be interred at the same location.
