Mariana Giovanna Molina

December 24, 1999 — February 18, 2020

Mariana Giovanna Molina, was born on Friday, December 24th, 1999 in Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah. She had a beautiful and kind soul full of love for others and animals. On Tuesday, February 18th, 2020, we said good-bye as she
returned to the arms of our Heavenly Father. She will be missed by so many of her family and friends that in her short 20 years of life she was able to share part of herself.
Growing up she attended Jenny P. Stewart Elementary and Centerville Junior High. She graduated from Viewmont High School in 2018. Soon after, she started to work and make her way in the world. As soon as she saved enough money
she bought herself a car. She was very proud of the fact that she was able to do this on her own. She chose a green car, her favorite color. While in high school she met Taylor Gwynn, who became her first official boyfriend. He won her over
by his guitar playing and songwriting. High school was especially hard for her and her family and friends were very proud of her when she graduated. After high school she met Marcus Helmer and they started dating. Taylor and Mariana stayed connected as friends. Marcus and Mariana had recently moved into an apartment together and were beginning a new chapter of their lives. Mariana had bought a new couch and coffee tables and promised her mother that she would have her over once her apartment was fully organized.
Her family often called her Marci and she was a lover of music and art. Her favorite song was “I’ll be seeing you” by Billie Holliday. She was a very talented ceramics artist. She shared her creations with loved ones as gifts. She also made
jewelry, rings were her specialty, and many of us are glad to have received one from her. She loved to travel, especially to Mexico. She always wanted to go to Chile, since her dad is originally from there. If there was a baby near her, you could bet she was holding them. She loved kids, she was blessed to become an aunt early in life. Mariana’s favorite flower was a Sunflower.  She was obsessed with watching “The Office”. She loved to cook and gave herself the name of “cooking mama” when she was only 9 years old. Growing up she always said she wanted to be a vet. Although she was the youngest of three she was the leader
and stood up for her beliefs and was never afraid to speak her mind. She had a strong personality that was very similar to her father’s but a heart that loved unconditionally like her mother’s. Everyone that knew Marci, knew the love she had for her mother, Elizabeth. Although Marci had a difficult short life, her smile and fun loving nature will always be what we remember the most of her.
Mariana is survived by her parents Juan and Elizabeth Molina, her siblings Alfonso Molina and Thais Padilla, Grandparents Francisco Javier Garcia and Ana Maria Rico, Juan and Maria Soledad Molina, uncles, aunts and many cousins. She
also leaves behind her 2 cats, Baby and Luna. Mariana was greeted in death by her loving great grandparents Alfonso and “Mami” Mercedes Ayala, Jose Rico, and also her beloved dog Yankee.
We are forever grateful to all the medical staff at the University of Utah Hospital that took care of Mariana with the best of their abilities, to Elizabeth’s home ward for the service they have provided to her and her family, and to everyone who has reached out sent their condolences.
