Marian Wilcox

June 12, 1917 — November 28, 2014

Marian was born June 12, 1917 in Centerville, Utah to Mildred Harding Brown and James Milnes Brown. She passed away November 28, 2014 of natural causes. Marian attended Davis County schools, graduated from Davis High, and then moved with her family to Salt Lake City. She was employed at Mt. Bell Telephone Co. and had 34 years of service there.
Marian married Richard Felt (later divorced), and they had two daughters, Karen and Christine. Marian’s greatest joy in life was her girls. She was so very proud of them and their accomplishments. Through the years her daughters married and brought more joy with 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Marian later married Horace Wilcox, whom she met at Mt. Bell. They enjoyed a long and happy life together. He accepted and loved Marian’s girls as she did his 3 children, John, Rex and Pamella and their families.
They both worked in the Jordan River Temple and had other church callings. Together they enjoyed traveling, golf, and many friends.
Survived by Karen (Jerry) Bringhurst, Christine (Phillip) Edmunds, John (Linda) Wilcox, Pam Wilcox, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Rex (Susan) Wilcox.
Marian was a beautiful, hardworking, and fiercely independent lady all the way to her 97th year and we will miss her dearly. Many thanks for all the help and kindnesses shown from Inspiration Hospice.
