Marian Chambers Cox

March 8, 1935 — April 1, 2022

Marian was born March 8th, 1935, to George Harrison Chambers and Lenora Bowles in Lakeshore Utah. She left us on April 1st 2022 at the age of 87 in Sandy UT.
She was the youngest of three children, Leo, Betty, and Marian.
Her family moved to Payson Utah from Lake Shore when she was in the third grade.
She worked at the Payson theater when she was 14 years old at the concession stand.
Marian was a part of the Pep Club and Dance club at Payson High School.
She loved to roller-skate in Nephi and competed in competitions.
She graduated from Payson High School in 1953, Following graduation, she married her high school sweetheart Norman Cox.
They married in October of 1954. They had three children, Kim, Sydney, and Alisha.
They moved from Payson Utah to Sandy Utah in 1964.
For most of Marian’s life, she worked in the hotel industry. She loved her job and the people she worked with.
She was a banquet captain and was given many awards during her service to the hotels. One of them being employee of the year 1996 at Red Lion.
Marian loved to shop. She loved going to Wendover to gamble. Marian loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren. And always put them first. She was an animal lover, especially her little dog Lil Bit.
Marian was the peacekeeper of the family and in life, she always wanted things to be fair for all.
She loved reading her romance books. Marian was a beautiful, caring, and wonderful woman. She was a very classy lady.
Marian loved to sunbathe and loved going out to eat at some of her favorite restaurants. She was a very active person up until the end.
She is survived by her husband Norman Cox, Her three children, Kim, Sydney, and Alisha. Her Sister Betty Llewellyn and sister-in-law Luane Chambers.
Her grandchildren are Tyler, Shawn, Josh, Ashley, Cooper, Brittany, Amaja, and her great-granddaughter Chloe.

Graveside memorial will be held at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 E 7800 S Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121  on April 14th at 1:00PM.
