Maria Mulitalo

September 19, 1967 — January 12, 2019

On January 12th, 2019 Maria Fagamanu Mulitalo was called back home to our Father in Heaven. Maria was born of goodly parents: Fagamanu Paovale Mulitalo (deceased) and Siupolu Tela Mulitalo in Kailua, Hawaii. She is survived by her 4 pride and joys: Tinou, Tinora, Tyler, and Tiari; the father of her children: Joe Faatui Olive; her 6 siblings: Toalima, Olivia (Oma), Fagamanu (Silaumua), Tavita (Faafeai), Feleti (Mautofi), and Joseph (Berlin); along with many nieces, nephews, and other loved family and friends.
Maria graduated from Compton Senior High School, and furthered her education at Compton Community College. She was a hard worker, providing for her family as a computer technician, and later finding her calling in life as a supervisor for the State of Utah Juvenile Justice System. She had a passion for uplifting youth, and had encouraged them to live in the present and move forward with hope for a better future: a principle she had learned and lived herself.
Maria will be remembered for her exemplary example of love. She had a big heart, was loving and giving with all herself, especially in caring for her children. Her children knew her for her strength both physically in overcoming many hardships and spiritually in living out her life to the best of her ability. Her beautiful smile, contagious laughter, and mostly her selfless love will be missed immensely. She was a blessing and her memory will forever be in our minds and hearts.
Please join us in celebrating the life of Maria this Saturday January 19th, 2019 at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery (3115 East 7800 South). Family services are from 10-11:30 am followed by funeral services from 12-1 pm.
