Maria Mannek

Our dearly beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and Friend, passed away on January 3, 2014. She was born on December 9, 1926, to Kurt and Ella Gangien in Zwickau, Germany. Married Guenter Mannek on July 21, 1950, in Berlin, Germany. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church serving in many callings.
She is survived by her husband; son, Holger (Kathy, friend); daughter, Chris; grandchildren, Brandon (Sharmin), Bryce (Nicole), Brooke, Jamie (Sanny), Tim; 8 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and one brother; beloved son, Norman.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 12 noon, at the Winder 7th Ward, 4350 South 1100 East. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and N Street. We would like to thank CareSource for their loving care of Maria.
