Margie Jean Pulli

January 14, 1935 — March 29, 2020

Our amazing mother and grandmother passed away in the early hours of March 29, 2020 with her daughters by her side. Margie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 14, 1935. She was born to Donald Ith and Elsie Bateman. She married Robert [Bob) Pulli December 31, 1951. They remained married until our father passed away in 1999. Margie was a stay at home mom until her 3 children were raised. She then went to work at Parker Packing in West Valley City until she retired.
Our mother was an amazing person. She was a mother to many. She not only raised her three children but she also raised her Granddaughter, Melissa Ortega. She then took on raising her three great-grandchildren Gerrit Tracy, Shad Tracy and Ashton Tracy. She loved having kids around and made a point of making sure everyone had whatever they needed. She had kids in her life and home for 67 years. She never complained much even when some of the kids would try but fail to give her a run for the money. She was strong-willed and you always knew where you stood with her.
She had many hobbies. She was an excellent seamstress. She made our school clothes for us every year. They were original Margie’s designs. We would go to school and friends would always want to trade us clothes. Sometimes we would and she would get upset and make us get them back. We did not understand the work that went into making all those clothes. But we do now. She also could hand-embroider anything and it was always beautiful. One of her favorite past-times was jigsaw puzzles. She would spend hours with Becky doing the puzzles at her kitchen table.
She is survived by daughters and special grandchildren Sheila Deadrich, Becky McDaniel, Gerrit Tracy, Shad Tracy, and Ashton Tracy. Grandchildren Kristopher Furrow, Shannel Furrow, Brandon Pulli, Amanda Deadrich and Meagan Deadrich. She has many great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Father, Donald Ith, Mother, Elsie Bateman, Brother, Donald lth, Husband, Bob Pulli, Son, Terry Pulli, Granddaughter, Melissa Ortega, and Great-Grandson, Dayton Leas.
Special thanks to Shad Tracy for his loving care of her in the last few months of her life. He was there to the end.
