Margaret Perri

May 7, 1919 — September 4, 2015

Our beloved Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister, Margaret Florence Perri, passed away September 4, 2015 due to complications from a fall. A fourth generation member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Margaret was born on a sheep ranch in East Canyon, Morgan County, Utah to Henry and Abigail Florence on May 7, 1919. Born of stalwart English, Swedish, Danish pioneer stock; she lived her long, accomplished life on a sizable portion of the Hintze homestead in Holladay.
Graduating from Granite High School, she later graduated with high honors from Westminster College with a degree in European history and Spanish which became her passion traveling and absorbing the Spanish culture. For years she attended a Spanish Branch teaching Relief Society, loving the members and hearing and singing her much loved hymns in Spanish. Margaret especially loved reading, traveling, gardening, and cooking Italian dishes learned from her husband, Ardo Perri’s family. For ten years she lived at the family business in Brighton, skiing, working and tending the family’s Alpine Rose Lodge while her husband built ski lifts. In maturity she loved baseball either on television or in person at Dodger Stadium with grandchildren in tow.
She is adored and will be greatly missed by her 10 grandchildren born to Frank, Jill and Brooke and 15 great-grandchildren. As a member of a close knit family, Margaret was loved by her sisters, Betty, Anne, Beverly, Maxine, Penny and brothers, Henry, Giles, Cal, Richard Pollei, and a host of devoted neighbors and ward members. Thanks to all of you for the care and attention paid her these last few years. Margaret will be greatly missed by all of us.
Funeral Services will be held, Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Olympus 1st Ward, 4080 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, UT., with a viewing one hour prior to services.
