The batteries in our Energizer Bunny have finally ran out. Margaret Rena John Facer peacefully slipped into eternity at home on October 3, 2017. She was 96 years old.
Rena was born September 29, 1921 to Noah James and Esther Elmeda Hall John in Portage, Utah. She was the fifth of 13 children. Rena was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served as a primary teacher and was a member of two relief society presidencies. She and Howard were among the first group of temple workers who opened the Jordan River Temple with Howard serving there until his passing in 1984 and Rena working at the Temple for a total of 22 years.
Rena is preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Gerald J Facer, son-in-law Ricky L Jeppesen, granddaughter Suzanne Facer and most of her siblings. She is survived by her children James H Facer (Jayne), Loris Facer (daughter-in-law), Dale E Facer (Marilyn), and Anita Facer Jeppesen Williams (Kenny) as well as her 19 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
