Marcelino Cayetano Galvan, age 80, passed away on December 8, 2015 in Layton, Utah. He was born on May 26, 1935 in Tucuman, Argentina, to Lucindo Galvan and Faustina Rivero. Marcelino married Sara Del Carmen Figueroa.
Marcelino’s greatest accomplishments first of all were as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Marcelino loved soccer. He had been well known as a coach, referee, masseuse, and being very active in sports.
Throughout his life Marcelino was a boxer and a police officer as well in Argentina.
Marcelino is survived by Federico Fernando, Luis Edgardo, Ruben Cesar, Carlos Alberto, Pedro Leo, Daniel Marcelino, Patricia Cristina, Carina Susana, 31 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Marcelino is preceded in death by Lucindo Galvan and Faustina Rivero (Parents), Sara Del Carmen Figuera (Wife), and Daniel Marcelino (Son).
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015, 1:00 pm, with a viewing from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Redwood Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
