Manu Tuihakau Tupouniua, born November 15, 1949 in Nukualofa, Tonga to Solomone fine Taukatelata and Veuki Kavakaufo’ou Finau Taukatelata, passed away on January 24, 2025 in Magna, Utah.

She Married Sione Motuhi Fonua Tupouniua in September 1978.

Manu passed way suddenly, at home surrounded by her family. Manu was a happy woman who loved to sing, dance, and spend quality time with her family. She loved her church and Gospel. She was always smiling and loved to laugh and have fun. Manu loved her grandchildren very much and was very proud of all of them and their accomplishments. When she was around her children and grandchildren is when she was happiest.

She is survived by her husband Sione Motuhi Tupouniua; children Kueni (Sione) with seven children, Fine (Sina) with two children, Fatafehi (Niki) with one daughter, Lemao, Tuipulotu (Alicea) with three children, Victoria Sione, Bliss Tolini, and Veuki. Brothers and sisters; Fine (Tunisi) with seven children, Tuasivivalu, Lata (Heneli Suli) with four children, Keneti (Tangi) with one child, Sione Tuipulotu (Siu) with two children.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandson, Julius Paul Tuipulotu Haverson, (son of Victoria and Cody); her parents Solomone and Veuki; sisters Folahola (Alipate) and Etina.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Redwood Memorial Mortuary located on 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. The viewing and family program will be held from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM and the Bishop’s program will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by the interment at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
