Mack Steffensen

May 31, 1927 – November 19, 2018
Mack Steffensen returned to his father in Heaven on November 19, 2018. He was born to Louis C. Steffensen and Claire M. Walter on May 21, 1927. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Jane Smith and his parents. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple April 21, 1967. He is survived by his children Shirley (Mike), Victoria (Loy), Diane (James), Mack Jr (Nancy), Mary, Melvin, Debbie (James), Donald, Merlin, Russell, Raymond (Tina), Alan (Penina), Floyd, Thomas (Jodi), 33 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. His living legacy was 5 generations strong.
He served our country as a World War 2 veteran, and worked at Tooele Army Depot for over 25 years, which he retired from. Following his retirement, he worked at ZCMI to support his sons on their LDS missions. Mack and Mary were service missionaries as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He enjoyed the great outdoors and doing family activities in the outdoors such as fishing, hunting, camping, and family reunions. He enjoyed dutch oven cooking, hiking and river rafting.
Funeral services will be held on November 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the LDS Valley Park Ward House 6300 South 300 East, Murray, Utah 84107. There will be a viewing one hour prior at 12:00 PM at the same location. Interment to follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
