Lynn Gates

October 30, 1938 — July 11, 2014

On the morning of July 11, 2014 after a long battle with Diabetes & Heart Disease Lynn passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Lynn was born in Salina Utah on October 30, 1938. He was the baby brother to 9 siblings born to Garry Aaren & Mary Mae Gates.
Lynn graduated from North Sevier High in 1956. He then served in the US Army. On July 17, 1964 he married his “Squeeze Wease”. They enjoyed 50 years together. Lynn Retired from Kennecott in”2000” after 40 plus years of service.
Lynn always enjoyed having family & friends around. He grew up always having dogs & that never changed as he grew older, he was never without his dog. He was a avid camper from the time he was very young. He loved the mountains & instilled the love of camping into his whole family & friends. The more people who went camping with him the happier he was. Lynn loved classic cars & even owned a few himself. He never passed up a chance to go to a car show & see the “Old Beauties” even if he had to leave camping to go, which we did a few times. He was never one to turn down a road trip with his wife & sisters, & the grand children also enjoyed taking turns going with them.
Lynn was preceded in death by, both parents 6 siblings, Theressa, Blaine, Glenn, Ester, Shirley, baby boy & his Great Grandson Adrius Lynn.
Lynn is Survived by his wife Louise, his 4 Daughters, Gwen (Gaylord) Robb, Capri (Hector) Ramos, Raquel (Frankie) Wellman, Heather (Orlando) Seve, 10 Grand Children, 6 Great Grand Children, 3 Sisters, Faun Pickett, Rowene Burgess, Myrna Winn & numerous other family members & friends.
Memorial Services to be held at the Redwood Memorial Estates located at 6500 South Redwood road on Saturday July 19th at 2:00 pm.
