Lynn Durrans

August 22, 1945 — October 19, 2019

Lynn Michael Durrans, 74, was born on August 22, 1945, and passed away on October 19, 2019, after an 8 year-long battle with cancer. He was the son of Ross Inman and Lorene Crow Durrans. Lynn married Verlene Blackham on May 8, 1968, in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple for time and all eternity.
Lynn absolutely loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren whether it be going to their sporting events or going to the beach. He was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Lynn served as a membership clerk for 25 years, under 5 different bishops. He was also a secretary in his High Priest quorum and served in many other callings within the church. Lynn believed and lived the gospel every day of his life. He is admired by his kids and grandkids for his strong testimony of the gospel. Lynn retired from Whitmore Oxygen after 42 years of service. He then pursued his love of history, woodworking, model trains, vacationing, being in the mountains, and supporting his favorite sports teams, especially the Utes. Lynn is thanked for the countless hours he spent serving his family, friends, neighbors, and ward members. You could always count on him to lend a helping hand, no matter the circumstances. Lynn is also deeply appreciated for his time spent in the National Guard.
Lynn is preceded in death by his daughter, Verlynn and his parents, Ross Inman and Lorene Crow Durrans.
Lynn is survived by his loving wife, Verlene; his daughters, Mindy (Jeff) Lindquist and Becky (Mike) Hartwell. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Payton and Wyatt Locher and his step-grandchildren: Michael, JW, Shay, Shawnee, Kaylee, and Lindsay. We would like to thank all the amazing family members, neighbors, doctors, and Debra and Archie with Elevation Hospice for their help and support at this time.
