Lynn Carlton Anderson, the son of Carl Samuel and Lelia Ruth Anderson, passed away May 28, 2016, due to complications of heart failure.
His is survived by his legacy, which is his family, wife Pat, and their children Steven Anderson and Lisa (Brian) Castleton and Steven’s son Schaffer, Lynn’s only grandson. He is also survived by his sister Kathleen Dawn Anderson.
Lynn was an avid fisherman, golfer, and scouter. Lynn loved the outdoors, some of his favorite places for vacation were Star Valley, Wyoming, the Tetons and Yellowstone National Park.
Through his love of scouting he earned various merit badges and was awarded the eagle. He was also a counselor at Camp Tracy Wig Wam at which he helped build the shooting range. He served in the National Guard.
He enjoyed working for Salt Lake City Road Department testing concrete and completing other jobs.
Lynn was a graduate of East High School. Lynn attended the University of Utah and was an avid fan of their sports programs. He also enjoyed watching the Jazz, but most of all he enjoyed coaching his son in various sports. Lynn also enjoyed following the achievements of his daughter including dance groups, girl scouts, helping her deliver thousands of Girl Scout cookies.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Memorial Mountain View, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights. A viewing will be held an hour prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.memorialutah.com.Service Information
