Lynette Gord

October 16, 1943 — June 5, 2020

GORD, Lynette Ruttenbur, age 76, gracefully left this world the morning of June 5, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Hobbs, New Mexico to Glen Phillip Ruttenbur and Lillie Bernice Green on October 16, 1943, they shortly thereafter moved to Salt Lake City where she later met and married her high school sweetheart Bill Gord.

She had four beautiful children and shared 59 years of fun, loving memories with her husband and family.  She was instrumental in operating our family businesses for over 45 years while never missing her family’s special moments and always keeping them her top priority.

All who knew and loved Lynette would tell you that she was one of the most genuine people you could ever meet.  If you were her friend, she would always treat you as if you were her family.  We could never forget her very spoiled dogs that received her entire heart of gold.  Her favorite activities included traveling and camping with family and friends, boating, fishing, pool parties and playing “competitive” table games.  She would never miss a trip to Lake Powell to spend quality time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren on the family houseboat.

She is survived by her husband Bill, children, Debbie (Cory), Christie, Steve (Diana) and Mike (Chermaine), 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, brother Glen (Kim), sister Jan (Allen), brother Gary (Lori) and sister Jolynn.
