Lyle “K” Cressall

March 31, 1933 — February 6, 2019

Our sweet Father, Lyle “K” Cressall was joyfully reunited with his loving wife, Erma Lee Prescott Cressall on February 6, 2019. He was born on March 31, 1933, in Burley, Idaho to George Alvin and Cora Kidman Cressall.  He married Erma Lee Prescott on July 12, 1954 in the Logan Temple. He was a devoted husband and father.
Lyle loved both his immediate and extended family very much and enjoyed spending time with them.  He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Lyle loved his time spent serving in the Church. He served as Young Men’s President several times, Elders
Quorum President and was a wonderful example of ministering to his neighbors and friends until his health declined.  Together with Lee, Lyle served as a temple worker at the Jordan River Temple for over 25 years. He and Lee also served a mission to the Sandy Bishops Storehouse.
Lyle was actively involved in The Boy Scouts of America for 65 years earning his Silver Beaver many years ago. Scouting was in his blood and it showed in his service to the young men he helped. Countless young men attained the rank of Eagle Scout with Lyle’s help.
Lyle was very involved in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives. He coached his sons’ baseball teams and cheered at every event his children were involved in, from piano and dance recitals to sporting events.  He repeated this with his grandchildren. He agreed with many that the reward that came from having children was the time he got to spend with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved camping and hunting with his family and spending time together.
Lyle will be missed and remembered by his children, Catherine (Warren) Loveless, Debera (Buck) Sharples, Christopher (Cyndi) Cressall, Steven (Karen) Cressall, Karen (Troy) Oborn, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Coraleen Cressall Gamble and his brother, Calvin C Cressall.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; his sweet wife, Erma Lee Cressall and much loved Grandson, Sean Christopher Cressall. His siblings also preceded him in death, Clyde George Cressall, Adrian Delbert Cressall, and Mary Irene Cressall Houston.
