Lupe Avery Haswood, 78, of Magna, Utah, passed away on October 6, 2024. Born on December 14, 1945, in Fort Defiance, Arizona, she was the daughter of the late Tully T. and Mary Jane Avery. She was the loving wife of Lee Haswood for 44 years. They were married on September 27, 1980. 

 Lupe was the Native Princess at the American Horse Show. Along with her work helping Navajo Strong, she loved being outdoors listening to her favorite musician John Denver. Her greatest love was being with her family and around all her grandchildren and grand puppies. She will be missed deeply. 

 In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Nora, Becky, Bobbi, Leah (Troy), six grandchildren, Timothy, Elijah, Alexia, Aleah, Brooklyn, and Andi, her sister, Peggy, and nieces, Carrie and Cheyenne. 

 She is preceded in death by her brothers, Tony and Tracy, and her niece Tonya. 

 An open house Celebration of Life to honor Lupe will be held on November 16, 2024, from 12:00-4:00 pm at Towne Place Suites, 5473 Highmarket Drive, West Valley City, Utah. Feel free to bring a dish to share or just stop by and offer your support.
