Lulu Fay Stockham Hosie

With the warm embrace of her family, (Lulu) Fay (Stockham) Hosie passed away peacefully at Legacy Village Memory Care in Taylorsville, Utah on April 27, 2016.
Fay was born in Rigby, Idaho on May 6, 1931 to Lu Stockham and Hazel (Pitman) Stockham.  She married the love of her life, Russell Morris Hosie, on July 12, 1947.  They moved to Seattle, Washington and then Idaho Falls, Idaho before settling in Salt Lake City in 1962.  Together they raised 6 children.
Fay was preceded in death by her husband Russell, her brother Leo-Roy, her daughter Catherine Roberts, two grandsons William and Paul, and one great-grandson Sterling.  She is survived by her brother Harold, her sister Alice, her daughter Jean Hosie-Jensen and four sons, Don (Joyce), Steve (Julie) Dean (Jennie) and Verne (Chris).  Fay endeared herself in life, as a devoted wife and mother.  She had a special bond with her 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren..
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her giving spirit.  May she rest in eternal peace.  We extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to management and staff of Legacy Village who became our extended family over the past several years.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 3rd at 11 A.M. with a 1 hour prior viewing at 10 A.M. Interment to follow at Valley View Cemetery, 4335 W. 4100 So. in West Valley City, Utah.
