Survived by his wife, Norayda, children Mark (Amrapali) and Erik, grandchildren Sirohi, Kirav, and Arya, siblings Adriano, Libbie (Richard), and Paul (Rita), and many loving family members and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his children, Margaret Ann Martinez, sister Dolores Frenchik, and parents Ruth and Adriano Martinez.
We are deeply saddened by his loss, but cherish the memories of the loving honest life he lived and shared with all of us. He lived a happy and full life dedicated to raising his two sons with his first wife, Margaret. Their love for each other was deep and eternal. One of his greatest joys in life was playing baseball with his boys and coaching their little league teams. He was proud to see both of his sons graduate college and live the lives that would make both of them proud.
Lou was well known for his sense of humor and mischief. He made friends easily and was well respected by his colleagues. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after over thirty years of service as an Air Traffic Control Specialist helping to keep airplanes safe in the sky.
When Lou married Norayda, his life became full of song and dance. They loved to travel, and with a grin on his face he would say, “I’ve tasted Filipino food all over the world”. They made quite the team. As grandparents, Lou and Nonie would share their love and happiness with their grandchildren. Sirohi, Kirav and Arya will be forever blessed for the time spent with Lolo (Grandpa). The world is a better place because of Lou and he will be missed.

Viewing and rosary Friday, March 2, 2018 at 6:00pm at Memorial Deseret Mortuary 36 East 700 South, SLC, UT
Funeral Mass will be held at The Cathedral of the Madeleine at 1:00pm Saturday, March 3, 2018. Interment to follow at Redwood Memorial Mortuaries & Cemetaries 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT at 2:30pm
