Lucy Larson

Lucy Bertena Jensen was born June 24, 1915 in Lyman, Wyo. Her parents are James Peter and Ida Mabel Miller Jensen. Lucy was number eight of 10 children growing up on a Wyoming ranch which her father homesteaded. Lucy was 10 years old when the first U.S. airmail flight flew over their farm. She married Roy Stanley Larson. Their marriage was later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They raised three children together. She was an active member of the LDS church, serving in many capacities, including Relief Society president for 6 ½ years. Lucy was much beloved by family and friends. Lucy is survived by: her children, Dale (Linda) Larson, Glenda Petersen, Stan (Kathryn) Larson; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother Delbert Jensen; and sister Erna Ravenberg. Lucy is preceded in death by: her husband; parents; seven siblings; daughter, Lucy Barbara; grandsons, Joshua and Jeff. The family wishes to thank the nurses, health care aids and volunteers who helped so much. A special thanks to Shannon, Robin, Shawna and Myra. Services will be held Saturday, July 26, 11 am at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 E. in Murray UT. Friends and family will gather from 6-8 pm on Friday, July 25, and one hour prior to the services. Interment to follow in Lyman Wyoming.
