Lucy Golsan

Loving Wife, mother & gramma, Lucy Y. Golsan age 58 years young was born February 17, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Albert & Dorothy Yazzie. She passed on this life unexpectedly the beautiful morning of November 9, 2013.
Lucy married her life love Rick J. Golsan on June 14, 1973 & had celebrated 40 wonderfully quirky years.
They are proud to be parents to 5 children JoDee, Kelvin, Carrie, Daniel & Jamie married to Ryan Shanahan
Lucy was the most loving & generous gramma to her beloved grandkids Emma Christopherson, Haiden, Konley, Senika & Memo Shanahan With them bringing the most joy into her life ‘Always know ‘Gramma loves you!’
Being the quick witted jokester, avid crafter & expert seamstress, she was strong willed & a fighter, always keeping you on your toes & never letting you down easy if she knew your potential, with her huge giving heart she was always trying to feed others.
Long serving scouter supporting her husband Rick & finally finding her place alongside him & attaining her own proud position.
She dedicated as much love as she did time into her work of achievements.
Lucy was a Navajo traditionalist at heart & knew where she came from keeping it true & close to her heart.
Camping in the outdoors was her solace & peace, many memories were made in these settings than any other place, & in the presence of her family.
Our lives will never be the same & we will never know a woman like her again. Our hearts will forever have a hole with nothing good enough to fill it. With memories & the love she instilled in us we will never forget.
Mom, just want to say just how much we all love u and will miss u. Our lives will never be the same and never would want it to be without you. It’s still a shock and we will always be thinking of your love and beauty. You will always be in our thoughts and love and never think that you will be forgotten. Always may your love and beauty travel on rainbows. Haágoóne’ Shíamá.

Lucy is proceeded in death by her daughter JoDee Christopherson, father & 2 sisters.
On Wednesday November 13, 2013 at 3pm an intimate graveside service will be held for Lucy at the beautiful Green Burial in Lakeview Memorial Cemetery leaving her to rest in the most traditional way fulfilling her last request in the most loving way we could.
