Lucy Arvetta Davis

March 8, 1936 — April 11, 2019

Lucy Arvetta Davis, 83, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away on April 11, 2019. Lucy was born on March 8, 1936 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Her parents were Charles and Mary Bogue. She married Roy Allen Davis in 1952, and together they discovered how to live a long, fulfilling life of family, fun, and service to others.
Lucy has joined her beloved Roy on their next great adventure – as in life where they inseparably spent decades enjoying each other’s company. From coast-to-coast traveling, camping at Bear Lake, cooking amazing meals to be shared with friends and family, to quiet times in the home quilting – and of course enjoying Pepsi throughout all of it. She had a deep understanding of how the simple things in life brought happiness – spending time with her children, grandchildren, and eventually great great grandchildren, sitting and talking, laughing (such a genuine laugh she had!), knowing there were many who reciprocated her love.
Dedication to family, friends and strangers was a hallmark of this amazing woman. She practiced what she believed; serving a welfare service mission, and as Relief Society and Primary President, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Few have had the privilege of knowing someone as generous as she was.
Lucy is survived by 3 children: Judy Ann Davis Smith (Eliot Smith), Janet Lee Davis Brown (Neal Brown), and Sherrie Lynne Davis, Grandchildren Lauralee (Mike), Mark (Jaime), Jeff (Aimee), Lewis (Whitney), Jami, Michelle (Justin), and Nicole. She also is survived by 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, and singing dog Sarge. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Allen Davis and son, R. Allen Davis. She will be missed, thought of frequently – her legacy will live on through all those she loved and influenced, and through such will never be forgotten.
