Lucretia was born April 9, 1915, to Anthony and Minke Ruwerda Ronner, the second youngest of 10 children, in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. She was the last living member of her siblings.
Her husband Petrus Jacobus Kruse preceded her in death at age 93 in 2006 and her son Peter Jacobus Kruse at age 63 in 2012. She is survived by her daughters Lucretia Hermina Cornelia Kruse Mehraban and Nancy Ann Kruse-Kampfe (Robert). She had seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Lucretia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Petrus became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after their marriage and they came to America in 1949 to be married in the LDS Temple.
Lucretia never had many hobbies, as work and family kept her busy. After her children were grown, reading was her favorite pastime. She would read approximately 15 books a month.
Her longevity to life was hard work, no drugs, alcohol or smoking. Her mind was sharp to the end and could still enjoy a good joke and loved her family unconditionally.
