Lucille Miner
November 4, 1944 to April 23, 2016
Lucille died Saturday, April 23, 2016, from Parkinson’s at the Millcreek Heath Center. She is remembered fondly by her nephew, Kraig Hausmann, Salt Lake City, UT, and  her brother, David Hausmann and his family, Phoenix, AZ, her brother Moroni Miner, Sprinville, UT, as well as her Women’s Circle, Salt Lake City, and beyond. Lucy was born in Apringville, UT, to Marie and Marion Miner. She graduated in stage craft from Snow College, Ephriam, UT, and attended Brigham Young University. She was the stage manager for the Salt Lake Dinner Theater where she worked with many celebrities, including Imogene Coca of “Your Show of Shows.” Lucy moved to New York where she was the personal assistant to Ms. Coca and enjoyed a long friendship with her. Lucy loved the excitement of New York where she also made several lifelong friends.
When Lucy returned to Salt Lake City she became a supporter of the Utah Medicine Women Retreats, and the Fertile Ground Book Store and Teaching Center. Lucy lived in Moab, UT, for several years where she loved being in the red rocks. Throughout her life Lucy wrote many stories of Star Trek Adventures. She considered herself part of the crew of the Enterprise as a lowly ensign. Others saw her as the first assistant to the science officer, Mr. Spock. She now begins her new journey to the stars on the Star Trek Enterprise, and beyond. Fly free, Lucy. Call Shirley Schnirel at 801.263.3134 for more information on her memorial service.
