Luann Malmborg

May 21, 1940 — September 16, 2017

LuAnn Pearl Cannegieter Malmborg, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, and Friend passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 16, 2017. She fought a valiant 15-year battle with cancer and remained a true inspiration with her constant cheer and positivity.
She was born May 21, 1940, in Murray, Utah to Howard and Pearl Cannegieter. She married her high school sweetheart Reid Malmborg on March 15, 1958, in Elko, Nevada and later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She loved to spend her time crafting, quilting and shopping and always planned and hosted the best gatherings. She cultivated a warm and loving home where there was always a project she was creating or something delicious in the oven. Those that knew her, loved to be around her.
In their later years, Reid and LuAnn served an LDS mission at the cannery for six years and spent much of their time traveling. Their trips to the Oregon Coast were one of her favorites and has now become a regular family tradition.
A true matriarch to her family, she will be deeply missed.
LuAnn is survived by her children, David, Daniel, Karry (Beth), Debra (Ron) Segura and Diane; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Ron (Marjorie) Cannegieter.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Gary; and sister, Joan (Reid) Howard.
