Louise S. Nelson

Helen Louise Sackett Nelson, at 82, returned to her Heavenly Father where she continues to spread love, peace and happiness. Born May 7, 1934 in Park City, Utah to Oral Don Sackett and Leola Kohler; died February 16, 2017 in West Valley City, Utah. She met Merrill John Nelson at BYU in 1953. They were married March 22, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple following his Army Service in Korea.
She was very involved in their 6 children’s lives; Randy (Pam), Paula Smith, Scott (Nora), Celia, Glen (Laurel), and Anita Nelson-Julander (Jes), plus her 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her faithfulness to her family and to the LDS church showed in her unwavering service and devotion to others.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, February 21 from 6-8 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 22 at the LDS Church on 3655 S. 6000 W., West Valley City, Utah, beginning at 11 AM. Viewing one hour prior.
