Louise M. Lambourne

Louise M. Lambourne, our matriarch, died Tuesday, September 04, 2018 in her home in Holladay, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday evening, Sept 7, 2018 from 6-8 pm and again, Saturday morning from 10:30-11:30 in the Holladay 18th Ward, 2625 East Milo Way, Holladay, UT. Funeral Services to follow at noon.
Mom was born September 8, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bessie Mildred Newton and Norman Hawkins Martin. She was the 2nd of 3 children. She graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah however, her allegiance was true blue!
Louise married her eternal companion, Gerald B. Lambourne on June 24, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother. She is survived by her sister, Mary Jane Lundgren of Idaho Falls, Idaho, her husband, Gerald B. Lambourne, and her children, Bonnie (Val) Arbon, Robyn (Ed) Cheeseman, Michael (Cynette) Lambourne, Mark (Kally) Lambourne, Kare (Dan) Weir, Kris (Jason) Rogers, Scott (Katherine) Lambourne, Hollie (Dustin) Wood. Mom was the grandmother to 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Louise lived a life of service! She had a very firm testimony of the Savior and of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served valiantly in numerous assignments within the Church including a mission with our dad as mission president of the Great Colorado Denver Mission from July of 1975 to July of 1978. She was active in her children’s scholastic activities by serving with the PTA and lots of homework! She took a serious, concerned interest in her civic responsibility and encouraged her children to do so as well. Mom will be missed but we know she is happily on to her next assignment.
