Louis John Walker passed away peacefully on February 4, 2019 in Draper, Utah at the age of 89.
He was born October 31, 1929 in Smethwick, England to James & Gladys (Ingalls) Walker. After finishing school in England, he started his mechanic career in a small garage. He immigrated to Canada with his first wife Gillian in 1951 and finally settled in Salt Lake City, Utah in May of 1952. He divorced Gillian in the late 50’s.
While working at Sweets Candy Company, he met his late wife Dorothy Thornblad and they were married on February 20, 1961. After Dorothy’s death on February 3, 1986, he married and later divorced Angie Astoriga but remained friends until her death.
He continued his mechanic career at Gallagher Company and eventually retired from the University of Utah Union Building.
Louis loved to watch football & golf and was a great pool player and bowler. He and his long-term friend Marge Paxman enjoyed travelling on cruises all over the world.
Louis was preceded in death by his wife; Dorothy, parents; James and Gladys, and his sisters; Irene James and Beryl Hudson.
He is survived by his son; Shawn (Michelle Day) Walker, and two granddaughters; Madison Day and Cortlyn Jean Walker.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery (3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121).
