Lorraine Smith

Lorraine Smith of Vallejo, CA passed away peacefully in SLC, UT on March 22, 2014. Lorraine was born November 28, 1932 in Nephi, UT. Daughter of Henry and Sarah Peterson. Lorraine grew up in the Nephi area with her family until her senior year in high school when the family moved to Long Beach, CA where she graduated. She started working for the phone company as an operator until 1954, when she married her husband Paul. She was a dedicated homemaker until the late 60’s when she put herself through college and received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development. She taught pre-school for Vallejo Unified School District until she retired in 1997. Lorraine lived a very full life filled with her crafts, sewing, painting and traveling in her 5th wheel with her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Paul. Lorraine is survived by her brother Eric Peterson, son Mark Smith of Concord, CA. Daughter, Pam Larsen (David) of SLC, UT. Grandchildren Shaunnah Beck, Christina Orme (Peter), Adam Smith (Emma), Desiree, Benjamin, Jackson Smith. Great-Grandchildren, Savannah, Nellie and Tessa Orme; Broady and Liam Beck; many nieces and nephews.
