Lorraine Cutler

Lorraine M. Cutler, age 84, passed away December 23, 2015 in Cottonwood Heights. She was born on January 21, 1931 in Shelley, Idaho to Albert and Georgia Miller. She married Robert W. Cutler on August 10, 1956 in the Logan Temple.
Lorraine was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many different callings; always going above and beyond, a perfect example of service and charity. She served in the Great Lakes mission from November 1954 – June 1956 and later served a service mission in Nauvoo, Illinois with her husband from November 1997- August 1999.
She graduated from the LDS institute of Religion at Utah State, and received her PHT (Putting Hubby Through.) She was a proficient user of shorthand along with many other secretarial skills. She worked for the American Red Cross as a program coordinator for 10 years until her retirement. She was granted a patent for the Compact Sliding Vanity Step System.
She welcomed everyone into her family as if they were her own, a pure example of unconditional love. She had an endless passion for taking care of family. She was a direct descendant of Sarah Goode Marshall, solid pioneer stock. She was an avid journal keeper, filling many journal books with her activities and thoughts. She loved to share her many collectibles and she had a great sense of humor.
She is survived by husband Robert, sons Neil, Kent, Kurt, daughters Marie Savard (Garett) Kathy Forney (Roger), Karen Gray (Lynn). 28 Grandchildren , 42 Great Grandchildren, Foster daughter, Natasha Nez (Johnny), sister and best friend, Lucille Jones (Ivan), brothers Ron Miller (Pat), Glenn Miller (Carol) and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son James, daughters Sheri Ann, Chrystal and Christen, grandsons SFC Ryan Savard and Kelly Cutler, sister Arleen Snow, brother-in-law Brent Snow, nephew Kimball Snow.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday December 30th at 11:00am. Viewing will be held prior to the service at 9:30am-10:45am at Butler Hill Chapel, 2700 E 7000 S in Cottonwood Heights.
