Lorna Snow died on November 24, 2024, peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She was born on May 24th,1936 to Adolphus and Mabel (Hardman) House. She was the 5th of their six children.
She married Grant Lee Roy Snow and they had six children. They were sealed together as a family on July 24th, 1964 in the Los Angeles Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Lorna had a special love of God, family, friends, and country. She found purpose in her life by serving others around her and her greatest achievement was raising her family. She had a gift for non-judgmental love and created a loving home not just for her own children but other grandchildren and friends. She had a close relationship with her grandchildren. Unlike anyone we knew, she also had that same kind of individual relationship with her great-grandchildren.
She was employed in several arenas but she felt her most significant job was at Miss Swendy's Day Care where she loved so many children clear up through her retirement.
She served in many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life including Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary Presidencies; as a temple worker in both the Jordan River and St. George Temples; as a teacher and ministering sister. She said she met some of her best friends while serving.
She was honored to graduate from high school the same year as her youngest son, Gary.
She made holidays and family get-togethers magical. She enjoyed a good book and her book club.
Lorna’s hallmark attribute was her ability to connect and love individually every person she interacted with.
Lorna and the family are grateful for the many healthcare professionals who loved and served her throughout the years and in the end the sweet care of Dixie Hospice.
She is survived by daughter Christine Wainwright (Bill), son-in-law John Daniels (Cyndy deceased), son Douglas Snow (Shelley), daughter Lisa Lang (Jon deceased), son Gary Snow (Sheila) and daughter Celine Chee Thompson (Nate); 26 grandchildren and 77 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her siblings and parents, her husband Grant Lee Roy Snow, daughter Cyndy Daniels, son, Steven Lee Snow, son-in-law Jon Lang, and one grandchild and two great-grandchildren who will have excitedly received her into heaven with loving arms.
