Lori Richards Bennett

Lori Richards Bennett, 59, Taylorsville, Utah passed away August 19 at a local hospital with loved ones by her side. Lori fought a valiant battle with an unforgiving illness.
She was born the middle child of five in Provo, Utah on December 10, 1956. She attended Granite High School in Salt Lake City, and was employed at O.C. Tanner until a few months before her death, recently celebrating 21 years with the company.
Lori married the love of her life, Jack L. Bennett on September 20, 1982 which was also his birthday.
Lori is preceded in death by her parents Samuel Douglas and LuAnn Richards, her beloved husband Jack and stepdaughter Kimberly Bennett Jensen.
Lori is survived by her daughter and closest friend Tonika Hulsey and her children Isaac Collins and Ava Hulsey.
Lori is also survived by her stepsons: Todd Bennett, Bryce (Renny) Bennett and their children Karlee, Sierra, Kaycee, Konner and Gabby. Stepdaughters: Wendy Bennett, her daughter Sherry (Kyle) Bue and their children (Lori’s great-grandchildren) Aliyah, Kaden and Kallee. April (Lauana) Bennett and their sons Quanni, Jaden and Korshten. Also stepson-in law Harley Jensen.
Lori leaves behind two brothers: Kriss (Lorraine) Richards and their children Sam Richards, Tanna Richards and great-nephew Kaylor. Todd Richards and his children Douglas (Natashia) Richards and great-niece Adri, Sydney (Megen Kepas) Richards. Also sister-in-law Lucy Richards. Lori also leaves behind two sisters: Cheryl (Jess Sturgeon) Richards Gunnell, her daughter Ashley Gunnell, great-nieces Rhiannon and Angelica, great-nephew Nicholaus. Kim (Manuel) Richards Mestas and their children Erin (Spencer Anderson) Mestas, great-nieces Isabel and Tatum, great-nephews Milo and Keeler. Stacy Mestas and great-nieces Kiana and Mya. Ethan (Kaitlin) Mestas and great-niece Charlotte.
Lori LOVED her grandchildren with all of her heart, they were everything to her! Lori was a very loving aunt and wore her title “Aunt LaLa” proudly.
She had a passion for cooking and was a wonderful cook! She loved a good party with friends, family and food. Lori was always getting the family to sing Christmas carols during the holidays. She also loved to go fishing and could out-fish the best of them and do it while wearing high-heels and jewelry!
Lori was a friend to many. She never let anyone be a stranger and wanted to be everyone’s best friend.
Her true home was always Kearns, Utah.
