Lorana Carter

March 21, 1934 — June 25, 2020

Lorana Gardner Campbell Carter, 86, passed away on June 25, 2020 in Sandy, Utah. She was born March 21, 1934 to George Herbert Gardner and Anna Marthine Hansen Gardner in Snowflake, Arizona. Lorana was the big sister to 4 more girls and 2 baby brothers.
Lorana married her sweetheart, Don George Campbell. They had 3 strapping boys and 1 little girl. George, Steve, Coralyn, and Eldon brought joy, laughter, and probably a few gray hairs to Lorana and Don.
Lorana loved her family. She loved taking drives, being in the mountains, music, dancing, and being around her children and their families. She was a mom to many and always had a hug and kind words to people she met.
She loved working with the Jordan School District doing inventory control and managing equipment and busses to ensure the children could go to school and events safely. Lorana retired after a very long and fulfilling career with the school district.
Don left this mortal world too early for Lorana. Her heart and her ability to love were overflowing. Lorana married Norris Hyde Carter. They spent many more wonderful years working and playing and loving each other. Norris was needed across the veil. He left this world and Lorana to share the remainder of her years with family and friends who loved her and were loved by her.
Lorana is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She has held many callings including a teacher to many ages and groups, Relief Society President, and as a temple worker in the Jordan River and Draper temples.
Lorana’s children; George Campbell, Steve Campbell, Coralyn Bond, and Eldon Campbell have a whole brood of posterity that have an amazing example to follow and emulate.
Always remember, “Gram loves you a Ho Ho bunch.”
