Lola passed away on Friday October 30, 2015. Born February 25, 1917 in Huntington, Utah to Marius Ensign Mills and Sarah Mills. She married Glen Baldwin on October 24, 1941 in Carbon County, Utah. They had 34 blissful years together. Lola lived 98 wonderful years spending time with family, friends, serving her Heavenly Father, reading, watching spiritual films and was an avid puzzle solver.
Lola (GG) was a most loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother to 4 children, 5 grandchildren, their spouses and 8 great grandchildren. She was raised on a farm and became a very influential person having only an 8th grade education. With her loving nature, she naturally drew in love collecting people and staying close to them. She was an active member of the LDS church and served a mission in Louisville, Kentucky. A natural busy body, she greatly enjoyed working with her hands and using her talents to make things for her family and other people. She ran a successful sewing business out of her home, spent many years volunteering her time to the Salt Lake Temple and enjoyed many years sewing and quilting to provide much needed warmth for charity.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen, son Dale and daughter Dianne.
She is survived by her 2 sons Sherald (Shade) and Gary and their spouses Sharon and Tammy.
Viewing is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 10 at Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Dr, Holladay, Utah 84117. A morning viewing will be held Wednesday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Canyon Rim Stake Center, 3005 S 2900 E, SLC, Utah 84109, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Graveside dedication and Interment will follow at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E 4580 S, Utah 84117.
