Lois Kieffer, 83, passed away peacefully in Lehi, Utah. She was able to stay independently in her home until her last hospitalization. Lois was born on August 8, 1941 to Zelma Elaine and Fredrick Fahrni in Bigham, Utah.
Lois served a LDS mission to Switzerland, where she met the love of her life Alvin H. Kieffer. They later married in the Manti, Utah temple and lived happily as eternal companions and best friends. They made their home in Bountiful Utah, where they were blessed with and raised three children. Lois was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife who spent her life in service of her beloved church. She enjoyed camping, scrapbooking, gardening, and baking.
Lois and Alvin served a LDS mission in Baltimore, Maryland and enjoyed visiting historical sites in their spare times. Lois and Alvin also served in the Bountiful temple from it's dedication in 1995 until they relocated in Eagle Mountain in 2018 to be closer to family. She enjoyed her service in the temple and serving in many callings in the church.
Lois is survived by her siblings, Elvin and Darrell Fahrni, Jeannine Goodfellow, her children, River (Heidi) LaMoreaux and her wife Malia Fullerton, Mike and Aimee Kieffer, and Kristi Burns and by seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Alvin H. Kieffer, her parents Fredrick and Elaine Fahrni, brother Grant Fahrni, son in Law Michael Burns, and grandson Daniel Kieffer.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Pony Express Memorial Cemetery 4648 N Eagle Mountain Blvd, Eagle Mountain, UT 84005 at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4142 North Lake Mountain Road, Eagle Mountain Utah 84005.
The family would like to thank the neighbors who filled her later years with joy and support, especially Gary and Angelina Arnold, and the Lake Mountain ward for their kindness.
