Lois Benzon Cumberledge, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on April 26, 2019. Lois was born March 22, 1930 to Joseph W. and Birdie Benzon. Married John W. Cumberledge August 24, 1947 and together had 5 children. Survived by her son, Terry (Barbie), daughters, Barbara (Paul) Blanchette, Kathy, Franni, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Lois had 13 siblings. Survived by sister’s Ivy Huber (George), and Marie Loveland.
Her life was devoted to her loving husband of 67 years, John, and her children and grandchildren. She loved each and every one of them.
Lois enjoyed watching the World Series, loved the Utah Jazz; watching many games with her grandchildren, and she loved watching Figure Skating. One of the highlights of her life was when her granddaughters took her and her sister Beth, to the pre-opening ceremony, of the Utah Winter Olympics.
Preceded in death by her husband John and her son Jack, daughter-in-law, Dana.
A celebration of life will be held on May 7th at 11:30 am at St. Vincent’s de Paul Parish, 1375 E. Spring Ln, Salt Lake City, UT. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:15 am prior to services. Interment at Memorial Holladay Cemetery: 4900 S. Memory Ln, Holladay, Utah. Funeral Directors: Memorial Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary.
