Lois Joy Allgaier Oates

March 28, 1927 — March 25, 2025

Oates, Lois, 98, passed away with peace and grace on March 25, 2025, with her family at her side. She was born on March 28, 1927, in Salt Lake County. She is predeceased by the love of her life, her husband in 2011, and her daughter in 2015. She is survived by her son and four daughters. Lois had 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Lois loved her family.

Lois had a strong testimony of the gospel at age six and knew her Heavenly Father loved her. Lois held many church positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a chorister, taught Sunday School, and was a librarian for many years. She served a mission in North Chicago with her husband. Lois also traveled with him to Russia, the East Coast, and on a cruise.

Lois worked hard, hand in hand with her husband on their dairy farm. She made beautiful quilts which are cherished by her family and friends. She loved taking the small grandchildren to the big trees behind her house and watch them play. Family was very important to her and she would do anything she could for them. She leaves us rich in memories.
