Our loving father, grandfather, and friend passed away August 10, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Loch was born January 2, 1933 in Kompong Cham, Cambodia to Soung Srey and Loeung Lim. He married Khay Than in 1953. The family arrived in the United States 37 years ago.
Loch was a School Teacher, Principal, Army Commander under General In Tam, Executive Secretary for Mr. In Tam, and Mayor of Srok Ou Chrouv, Battambong Province. He and his family escaped to Thailand when Khmer Rouge took over Cambodia.
Loch was preceded in death by his wife Khay; survived by his children Chanda (Veasna), Ponnarith (Marie), K Melissa, Ponnavatey, Saudi (Alex); grandchildren Mellina, Brittani, Isabela, Chance, and Ariana.
Buddhist services will be held Saturday August 17th, 10 a.m. at the Cambodian Buddhist Temple, followed by services at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road at 2 p.m. A viewing will be held Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1:30 to 2 pm. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary. Online condolences www.murraymemorial.com
