Lloyd “Kent” & Marian “Glenna” Reynolds

November 11, 1937 — April 18, 2020

Lloyd “Kent”  Reynolds – November 11, 1937 – April 18, 2020
Marian “Glenna” Reynolds – January 20, 1941 – April 19, 2020
Kent passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2020 at the age of 82 of congestive heart failure.  He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 11, 1937 to Lloyd Winfield Reynolds and Leah Beckstead Reynolds.  Kent was raised in Salt Lake and attended Granite High School before joining the US Navy.  He was a boatswain’s mate and enjoyed serving his country.  He married his high school sweetheart Marian “Glenna” Whiteman on October 28, 1958 in Malad, Idaho.
After Kent got out of the military, he worked for Uintah Freight Ways, Milne Truck Lines, Overnight Transportation and Dick Simons Trucking.
Kent was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He served in many different callings; His favorite was working with the Boy Scouts and helping them to achieve their Eagle Scout.  Dad enjoyed painting ceramics at the Taylorsville Senior Center.  Dad also liked to collect antique cars, playing bingo, going for long rides, riding his 4-wheeler, being with his family and most of all being with his “little red head” (his wife). Dad was caring and loving.
Glenna passed away peacefully at home the next day after her sweetheart on April 19, 2020 at the age of 79 of stage 4 liver disease.  She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 20, 1941 to Alfred “Bert” Whiteman and Marian Chisholm.  She graduated from Granite High School.
Glenna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings as well; She loved working with the children.  She later had an in-home daycare for years; She also worked for Ushio Catering on the weekends, and cleaned banks with her children.  Mom spent many years making suckers and sold them to the neighborhood children; It then turned into other candies as well.   Mom was known as the sucker/candy lady for many years in the surrounding neighborhoods.  Mom enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing bingo and spending time with her family.  Mom was a very loving and compassionate person.
Kent is survived by sister Rae (Kenny) Dringle and brother Larry (Julie) Reynolds.  Both are also survived by their daughters Jodie (Cal) Davis, Jennie (Keith) Palmer, Jill (Matt) Thomas, and son Jon Reynolds.  They had 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.  Kent is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.  Glenna is preceded in death by her parents and only sister.
We would like to thank Active Hospice for taking great care of our parents and for all you did for them and our family.
