Our lives were forever changed on December 21, 2021 by the untimely passing of our sweet Angel Lise Christine Aliu-Uaita who peacefully was called home to our Heavenly Father.
Lise was our miracle baby who came three months early. Weighing in at just 2lbs 9oz she came into this world fighting everyday. Lise spent her first 79 days at the University of Utah Hospital NICU. For two years and two months Lise touched so many lives in her brief time here. Full of life and love she blessed us everyday with her “good mornings”, her infectious laugh, and spoiled us with her angelic voice.
Lise was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Potasi and Senerita Uaita.  Lise is the second oldest child, and only sister to her brothers Manusinalesoa (3)and Avetone (1). She is her dads pele and the taste tester of all of her dads “yummy” cooking. Being the boss of the house she was the best at delegating tasks to her brothers, cousins Eternity and Penelope , and aunties Nuku and Katie.  She enjoyed singing her Samoan and nursery songs like her favorite Uncle Aliu, while also showing off her dance moves she learned from her mom . She was the light in all of our eyes.  “Sise” was a precious great grand daughter, granddaughter, daughter, sister,cousin and niece to many. Taken too soon, her memory will continue to beat in our hearts as we mourn the loss of our “pritty” angel.
Lise is survived by her parents, brothers, many cousins, aunties and uncles.
She was greeted at heavens gate with open arms by her Great parents Ituau, Agaese, Sivailoa, Alapati and Manusina, Grandpa Soka Aliu and cousins baby Junior Aliu, baby Soka Aliu, baby Moeafusia Falaniko, baby Autesamoa Liseana Uaita and many other family members who’ve moved on.
We will be honoring the life of our daughter with a prayer service and viewing that will be held Tuesday December 28, 2021 9:00-11:00am at the Memorial Murray Mortuary 5850 South 900 East Murray Utah followed by interment at the Memorial Holladay Cemetery 4900 South Memory Lane Holladay Utah.
On behalf of our beloved Sise, we want to extend our deepest appreciations to all the staff of the University of Utah NICU (primarily her nurses Vicki and Gretchen) who helped our fighter fight her first 79 days of life.
To Lise’s Sunday school class at the First Congregational Christian Church of Samoa-EFKS in Magna, Utah for their tremendous support, love and kindness.
A huge Thank you to our Murray neighborhood family who set the example of what it means to “love thy neighbor!” We are eternally grateful to be part of this community.
Your words have comforted us, your support has strengthened us, and your love has sustained us.
