Lin Faulkner, 60, passed away peacefully at his Midvale home, surrounded by family, on February 16, 2015, due to complications of bladder cancer. Lin was born in Salt Lake City on August 11, 1954 to Ralph B. and Patricia A. Faulkner. Married Kathy Kalney. Later divorced. Married Shari McClure Snell in 1983. Later divorced but remained close friends as they raised their daughter, Jessica.
Lin graduated from Brighton High School in 1972 and attended Utah State University. With his father and brother Ken, he was co-owner of Kelrad, a steel fabrication company, for 30 years.
Lin was a loving father and son whose passions were golf, the Utah Jazz and U of U football and basketball.
He is survived by his parents; daughters, Heather D. Pollard and Jessica Lin Cameron (Chase); stepson, Jared D. Snell (Hillary); brothers, Don C. Faulkner (RuthAnn) and Ken G. Faulkner; and five nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Holladay United Church of Christ, 2631 East Murray-Holladay Road. Niche placement will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South in Cottonwood Heights.
