Linda Kay Lawson Petersen

Linda was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas B. Lawson, Jr., and Bonnie Johnson Lawson. She was raised in Murray/South Salt Lake area. She lived in San Francisco for two years while her dad was stationed there (Army). She attended Hillview Elementary, Granite Park Junior High, where she was a cheerleader and Granite High.
In 1971, Linda gave birth to her only child, Leslie Memmott. In 2009 she became a grandma to her only grandchild, Lillie. They have shared many memories over the years. She liked Lillie better than anyone on the planet. Lille was the light of her life.
Linda had one sister, Susie Allgier (Tim) and one brother, Thomas W. Lawson (Bonne). They will miss her very much.
Linda worked in many places in her life. She started her career at Auerbach’s Department Store in Accounts Receivable. She also worked at Salt Lake Hardware, Salt Lake Trailer Supply and retired from O.C. Tanner.
Linda is survived by her daughter and granddaughter, mother and both siblings. She is also survived by nieces, Kim Allgier, Nicol Bell and Mindy Doyle; nephews Devin Jay Winn, Tommy Allgier and Rick Allgier.
Linda was preceded in death by her father and nephew Kelly Winn. She was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Thomas B. Lawson, Sr., and Marjorie Larsen Lawson and maternal grandparents Nels Johnson and Lena Burkhart Johnson.
