Lila Mae Fielden, age 87, passed away on Oct. 1, 2016. She was born Feb. 18, 1929 to Charles E. and Florence Clark Fielden in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up in the Millcreek area, graduating from Granite High School. Lila was active in the LDS church throughout her life, serving a mission in Mexico City from 1951-1953, and faithfully fulfilling many callings including ward organist. Lila was an avid woodworker in Chula Vista creating furniture and ornamental pieces. During her career she was employed by Artistic Lighting and Metals Manufacturing. Her love for aviation turned into a second career. She qualified for many pilot ratings. She worked for the FAA at the Salt Lake Air Route Control Center, Des Moines General Aviation District Office (GADO), and retired from the San Diego GADO. Lila lived her last 32 years in Chula Vista, CA. (San Diego).
Lila is survived by her brother Donald R. (Glennae) Fielden, sister Connie Mason, sister-in-law Carol Fielden and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, brother Richard Fielden, and brother-in-law Dennis Mason.

Graveside services for Lila will be held on Sat. Oct. 8, 2016 at 11:00am with a visitation from 10:00-10:45am at Memorial Mountain View, 3115 E. 7800 S., Cottonwood Heights, UT.Service Information
