Libby Martinez

Our dear wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and great-great grandmother, Libby L. Martinez, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on January 18, 2014. She suffered from dementia and was cared for by her loving husband of 70 years, John I. Martinez. Libby was born on August 7, 1927 in Cebolla, New Mexico to Victor and Jessie Martinez Lohman. Libby had a career in nursing for 9 years and served as a volunteer in the Catholic Church which she loved and enjoyed for 25 years. Libby was also a Vanda Cosmetic Representative for 65 years. Libby is survived by her husband; three daughters, Virginia (Ruben) Gabaldon, Linda (Gary) Saville and Sharon (Ed) Dillon; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Alice Miller and brother, Michael Ulibarri. Preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters and one brother. A Rosary and viewing will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.
