Liani Tjandrapurnama

Liani Tjandrapurnama passed away at the age of 87 on October 8, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on August 11, 1934 in Magetan, Java, Indonesia to Tjan Kiem Liang and Liem Ries Nio. She married Duwan Paulus on December 1, 1957.
Liani loved her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and traveling. She loved being outdoors. She was a great story teller and would tell wonderful stories to her children and grandchildren. Liani was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her and her husband were sealed in the Jordan River Temple.
Liani is survived by her five children: Christine Barker (daughter), Edward Paulus (son) and Djoen Lan (daughter in law), Elia Bills (Daughter), Robert Paulus (son) and Susi Liong (daughter in law), and Anita Holfeltz (daughter) and Steven Holfeltz Jr (son in law), her 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Duwan Paulus, and her two sons in law: John Barker and Kenneth Bills.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM with a viewing held two hours prior, beginning at 9:00 AM at the Copper Hills Stake Center 5176 West Parr Drive, West Jordan, Utah 84081. Interment will follow next to her husband, Duwan, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
